Robotics

Energid provides expertise in robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control. Our specialty is bifurcating mechanisms, including kinematically redundant arms and walking and wheeled mobile robotics. We use augmented Jacobian control for kinematic reasoning.

Energid targets its innovative, patented technologies to mobile robot system design, autonomous robot control, remotely supervised operation in home and industrial settings, agricultural applications, medical robotic applications, and space exploration.

We believe legged walking machines present advantages over wheeled machines in rough terrain, providing greater mobility, better isolation from the terrain irregularities, and energy efficiency. These advantages make our locomotion controls advantageous for many emerging industrial robotics applications.

Remote supervision is a mode of operation where the robot is largely autonomous but receives periodic guidance from a remote human supervisor. We have created algorithms to identify geometric properties of objects in the remote environment, including geometry, dimensions, and orientation, for this purpose. Visual servoing robotic control will play an important role in manufacturing and agricultural applications. By combining robot arm control techniques with computer machine vision capabilities, Energid provides novel solutions in the field of robotic control.
